This CLE will provide a general overview of Asylum, explaining the differences between affirmative and defensive claims, reviewing step by step instructions on how to complete and I-589 form, and updating participants about current asylum topics.

Presented by Maggie Cheng, NWIRP's Professional Development and Resource Attorney and former supervisor of their Asylum Unit.

CLE credits for SCBA members will be approved only upon completion of attendance and evaluation forms sent to the registrants by email after the event.  Non-members who attend will be provided with the Activity ID and can self-report their credits directly to WSBA.
