Ken Brewe has been in practice since 1979 after graduating from the University of Washington (1976) and the University of Puget Sound Law School (1979). He is AV-rated (very high to preeminent) by Martindale-Hubbell. Ken practices at Brewe Layman, PS, primarily in family law involving complex domestic relations matters (typically involving larger estates, family-owned businesses, or professional practices) and living together (meretricious) controversies. He provides family law mediation services and presents frequently at CLEs. He is the author/editor of numerous chapters in Washington Practice and the Washington Family Law Handbook. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). He has been included on the U.S. News and World Report Best Lawyers list (annually since 2012), named by U.S. News and World Report Best Lawyers as "Attorney of the Year" for Family Law in Seattle (2014), designated a Top 100 Trial Lawyer (Washington) by The National Trial Lawyers, and has been on the Washington Super Lawyers list annually since 2001.
